George County Mississippi Amateur Radio Emergency Services LLC

The Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES®) provides emergency communications for "Served Agencies" such as Emergency Management Agency, police and fire departments the America Red Cross, the National Weather Service, hospitals, and others. We also provide communications for public service events such as marathons, parades, bike riding events and boat races.

Individual ARES teams are organized at the county level in Mississippi. This is the web site of the ARES team serving George County, Mississippi.

Weekly 2 meter Voice Net:

Our weekly ARES 2 meter net operates every Wednesday evening immediately following the Amateur Radio Newsline that starts at 7:37 PM Central Time. The net is on the KD4VVZ repeater, frequency 147.120 MHz with a positive offset and a tone of 136.5. All amateur operators are invited to participate.
